Private Estate Wedding at South Carolina Debordieu Club Colony

Oct 11

What is more meaningful and personal than hosting your wedding day at your home? Our bride Lauren grew up spending her summers here at her family’s home on Debordieu Island and she always dreamed of one day being wed there on the beach. Lindsey of Host and Haven designed a venue from scratch and created the perfect backyard soiree to Lauren’s childhood home. With Lindsey’s impeccable eye for design, she effortlessly meshed the couple’s California coastal style with a touch of traditional east coast elegance and the final product was an incredible experience for all their guests.  You can’t tell from looking at the photos, but it rained all day long. Around the time of the ceremony, the rain broke for 20 minutes and Lauren was able to have the beach wedding she always dreamed of. Complete with a surprise appearance of their favorite singer Baaba Maal flown in straight from South Africa as a wedding gift from Lauren’s parents. Needless to say, Baaba was a major hit and we were all honored to hear his beautiful music. The entire day was full of so much magic and looking back through the photos brings a huge smile to my face.

Lauren & Gabe, thank you for allowing the Simply Sarah team to capture your gorgeous wedding day. Celebrating your love with your friends and family was a true honor and are so excited for what the future holds for you both! xx, Sarah + Will
